Coming Tonight

Mire wedding preview. Can't tell you a time, because I don't know myself, but guaranteed that tomorrow morning (Wed.) there will be 8 shiny new images from the Mire wedding right here on this very blog :-).

The Image Below

The image below is a teaser that the amazing Christi Martin sent to me, of my own engagement shoot. I was floored when I got this picture in my email. It is amazing. I should have known it would be amazing because Christi is the one who helps me at all of my weddings. She doesn't have a site yet, but remember the name. She is going to make quite a splash on the scene when it launches, and I will plug site to the fullest. She deserves it. Her boyfriend also deserves the beating I plan to give him in fantasy football this year. But that's for a different article.

Olympics Anti Review

Keeping with the non-photo trend, I had written an entire post, touching on things in the Olympics that didn't sit well with me. Then I read a lot of posts, on a lot of sites doing the same thing. So I decided to erase that post, and continue to keep this blog positive. And I should probably start posting more photography, but we'll see about that ;-). Don't get me wrong. There are many many many things that I LOVE about the Olympics. And they far outshine the things I don't. So what's the point of this blog? I'm bored I guess. Track & Field starts tomorrow, I think. Who knows with this wonky China time. With that said, I'm very pumped. Go USA. Should be fun to watch.

New Netflix

I realize that I haven't blogged any new material lately, but trust me, I have tons coming in the next few days. With that said, I want to share a trailer for the Netlix DVD I have coming tomorrow. I'm very excited.

New Gallery Added

Sports photography and design gallery is live. Go check it out and let me know what you think.

Gallery Changes

I decided today that I am going to remove the 'Art' section of my site. Not that I don't enjoy that aspect of what I do, but I don't get to do it enough to keep it updated. And due to site restrictions, I'm limited on the number of galleries. However, I am going to replace it. Back when I worked for Louisiana Tech Football, way before this, I did some graphic design work for them. Recently, you probably saw it on my blog, I have gotten back into do doing some design for them. And during this coming season, they are being nice enough to put me on the sideline to shoot a couple games. I have no idea how they will turn out. But I am a football junky, and I take great pride in my work, so I would like to think that they will be amazing. So, with that said, I am going to start a 'Sports Design/Photography' section. It makes me very happy to even say this in a blog. I have about 6 pieces that I will put up tonight, and more to come. But I just wanted to give you guys the heads up on that. It should be great. I have a lot of NFL and College connections too. So maybe by putting this up online for all to see, the calls will come flooding in. Maybe?

Another Change

I recently posted a change in the hours I would be working. I wanted to announce something else. I am going to take a page out of the book of Dan Brouillette, who is a photographer in Iowa that I admire very much. I don't want to do it too much as to overshadow the photography, but I would like to add things that interest me to my blog. Things like music and movies. Just little things. I don't want to talk about my personal life really ever, or my views on things like life or politics. I don't really think a photography blog is a place for that. But I think splashing in my current listening fav's or movies is ok. And I am going to start documenting more of my travels. I love to take STUFF photos. Somewhere along the line, that got lost. So be on the lookout for these posts. Maybe they'll be a ray of sun on a lazy Wednesday or something.

Everyone have a great weekend. Do something good for the world.

Random Observation

Did truckers get rid of CB radios? As I drive to and from work everyday in Baton Rouge, I see a lot of truckers. They are always communicating, with what I have in my head as being other truckers. Only they aren't on radios. They are on cell phones. And not headsets either. One hand holding the phone, the other on the wheel. And this isn't just one or two. It's like 90%. Am I the only one noticing this? Feel free to comment.
